England Golf Our round of branding development helps keep England Golf at the fore!
Optima worked with England Golf to strengthen their brand – helping them to grow the game and promote inclusivity and accessibility in golf.
England Golf is the governing body for amateur golf and supports clubs and players in England.
This non-profit organisation had experienced rapid growth and needed Optima’s help to audit, define and develop the brand. And we needed to put the systems in place to help England Golf manage the brand effectively across their teams, partners and suppliers – to improve recognition and to represent better the values and aspirations of the ambitious non-profit organisation.
Developing the brand, we first tackled issues with the England Golf logo and emblem, including inconsistencies in its application, colour reproduction and sub-brands.
The resulting brand logo is much easier to reproduce consistently and has a more confident and contemporary personality and presence. We extended the brand book to include guidelines for image treatments, typography and tone of voice to create a brand unified in underpinning the organisation’s values.
Value-driven brand design
We approached the branding project intending to amplify England Golf’s energising and supportive role. This role includes encouraging the current golf community and inspiring future generations with a positive perception of the game through relatable role models. Optima also ensured England Golf’s values of leadership, integrity, inclusivity, and accessibility are reflected throughout the rebrand.
We have designed a robust and extensive design system which helps England Golf better communicate its purpose and showcase its activities and achievements. The rebrand puts the organisation in a stronger position to further expand and grow the game.
At the end of the branding project, we brought together all the new design elements to create England Golf’s Annual Review.
